Installation and Equipment Placement

  1. The equipment has been installed in accordance with the instructions and drawings provided by your site.
  2. Where such information has not been provided, the equipment has been installed in locations deemed by the engineer to be the most suitable for effective monitoring.
  3. I confirm that I have reviewed and agreed the equipment locations with the engineer and accept that these locations are suitable for the intended monitoring purposes. I understand that any changes to these locations after installation may affect the data and will be treated as a chargeable revisit.
  4. Should any relocation of the equipment be required at a later date, this will be carried out at the hirer’s cost on a mutually agreed date.

Data and Monitoring Responsibility

  1. The equipment records environmental data only. Campbell Associates Limited does not provide interpretation of data, compliance assessment, or consultancy unless explicitly agreed in writing.
  2. The hirer remains solely responsible for interpreting monitoring results, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and taking appropriate action in response to alerts or recorded data.

Monitoring and Alerts

  1. The hirer is responsible for monitoring and responding to all alerts and notifications issued by the monitoring platform, including measurement exceedances, connectivity issues, and low battery warnings.
  2. Failure to act on alerts may result in loss of data, equipment downtime, or additional charges.

Battery and Power Management

  1. Batteries must be replaced immediately upon receipt of a low battery or connectivity alert.
  2. Rechargeable batteries must be recharged promptly to prevent damage.
  3. Lithium batteries left fully discharged may suffer permanent damage. The hirer will be responsible for replacement costs and any associated call out charges.
  4. Lead acid batteries in vibration monitors must be replaced at least every eight months, or sooner if alerted, to prevent leakage and damage.
  5. The hirer is responsible for ensuring a continuous, safe, and suitable power supply at all times. Any failure resulting from inadequate or unsafe power provision shall be chargeable.

Solar Powered Systems

  1. Solar powered systems are supplementary and do not guarantee continuous power supply. Performance is dependent on weather conditions.
  2. Where batteries become depleted, they must be returned to the site office for recharging and charging cycles must be managed in response to alerts.
  3. The hirer remains responsible for maintaining continuous operation of the equipment.

Connectivity and Data Transmission

  1. Remote connectivity, including mobile data and internet connections, is not guaranteed and is dependent on site conditions and third party networks.
  2. Campbell Associates Limited accepts no liability for data loss, delayed data transmission, or missed alerts due to connectivity issues.

Installation Limitations

  1. Installation is carried out based on site conditions, access, and information available at the time.
  2. Where ideal installation conditions are not achievable, the hirer accepts that data may be influenced by external factors including mounting surfaces, ground conditions, structural transmission, and nearby activities.

Access and Maintenance

  1. The hirer must provide safe and reasonable access to the equipment for maintenance, inspection, battery replacement, or retrieval.
  2. Where access is restricted or unsafe, Campbell Associates Limited shall not be responsible for any resulting downtime, data loss, or performance issues.

Equipment Responsibility and Use

  1. The hirer accepts full responsibility for the security, condition, and safe use of the equipment while on site.
  2. This includes protecting equipment from theft, damage, or interference, ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements, and ensuring all cabling and power supplies are safely secured.
  3. The equipment and its power supply must not be modified, tampered with, or altered in any way that may create a hazard or risk to any person.
  4. The hirer is responsible for any loss, damage, or malfunction caused by misuse, unauthorised interference, vandalism, theft, or third party activity.

Calibration and Measurement

  1. All equipment is calibrated prior to deployment in accordance with relevant standards.
  2. Measurements may be affected by environmental conditions, installation location, or site activities. Campbell Associates Limited accepts no liability for decisions made based on recorded data.

Indemnity

  1. The hirer agrees to indemnify Campbell Associates Limited against any claims, losses, or damages arising from the use of the equipment, except where caused by proven negligence of Campbell Associates Limited.
