Event Sound Recording: Triggers

When you purchase and install the 730-ESR firmware option, event sound recording enables the dosimeter to produce audio recordings of measured sound when the sound level exceeds a preset threshold.

Sound Recording Quality

Sound recordings are saved as 16-bit WAV files sampled at 8 kHz. The 12-second recording includes 2 seconds of pre-trigger recording and 10 seconds of post trigger recording. You can use G4 or LD Atlas to listed to sound recordings.

Insights into Sound and Frequency

Add Option OBA for deep frequency 1/1 octave detail.

Identification & Protection

Using event sound recordings to identify the source of loud noises to distinguish work related noises from others. G4 provides a simple means for accessing measurement sound recordings.
