The Ranger is a dust & gas measurement device which is intended for use in situations where you need reliable air quality measurements with the minimum amount of effort and measurement.

Local Measurement Data

Data saves internally to the monitor and once a cloud connection is established, the data is sent and processed in our cloud system to give you real-time access and alerts via SMS and Email depending on the user preferences. Requires a cloud subscription and WIFI internet connection to work.

The unit can be setup to measure dust and gases, the specifics can be found in the datasheets. The unit can log in 1 minute intervals up to 1 hour.

Servicing

The sensors are seviceless, they should be replaced annually using our hot swap program.

Operating the Device

Switch on the device and wait 15 seconds for the boot-up screen and then press any key. To turn off the device, press and hold the power button for 5 seconds. If the unit is unresponsive, press and hold the power button and the down arrow for 20 seconds to hard reset it.

Real-time data is shown on screen along with the battery level.

Use the left and right arrows to navigate the display.

The AQI screen can only be seen with the PMX head attached.

Enter the settings menu by pressing and holding the left arrow.

To exit the settings, press and hold the left arrow.

To start a measurement press and hold the centre button.

If logging is enabled in the settings, a red circle will appear.

Download Measurement Data

A file containing Ranger’s logged data can be exported via USB cable in one of two formats.

Format CSV: This format enables the user to transfer the Ranger data to their laptop for processing using third party software such as MS Excel.

Format Cloud: This format enables the user to upload the Ranger data to Aeroqual Cloud for longterm storage and advanced processing. The user first transfers it to their laptop and then connects to Aeroqual Cloud to upload it via manual sync.

Step 1 – creating a data file for usb export

Using Ranger, navigate into the Settings menu by pressing and holding the LEFT ARROW.
Once in Settings, navigate to Logging>Export to USB.
Select “Export to USB >”
Select Export file format and scroll between Cloud and CSV
Scroll down to “Interval” and select period of time you wish to transfer
Scroll down to “Export selected Logs” and select to start export process.
The CSV or Cloud (SYNC) file will then be created in the Ranger storage memory.

Step 2 – transferring the file to pc/laptop

Using the provided USB cable, connect Ranger to your PC or laptop,
Open file explorer on your PC
Using the file explorer, Navigate to Ranger > Storage
You will find a either a CSV or SYNC file present with filename: Ranger_SerialNumber_Date_Time.
Copy the file to your PC or laptop for upload to Cloud (SYNC) or third party processing (CSV)
