Crack Monitor Guide

ElliTrack Crack Monitor

The ElliTrack is a crack measurement device which is intended for use in situations where you need reliable measurements.

Weight: 1 kg

Dimensions: 10 x 12 x 5 cm

Local Measurement Data

Data saves internally to the monitor and once a cloud connection is established, the data is sent and processed in our cloud system to give you real-time access and alerts via SMS and Email depending on the user preferences. The units has an incredible 3 year battery life!

The unit measures the expansion and contraction of the crack and logs temperature too.

Cloud Based Login

You can login to your Sonitus Cloud portal anytime to access your noise monitor and download your readings. Visit app.sonitussystems.com

Calibration

The unit requires calibration once every two years in our UKAS accredited laboratory. The system utilises a robust piston which maximises the calibration interval and ensures reliable data.

Power

The monitor is battery powered only up to 3 years!

Mounting & Fixing Options

The crack monitor can be mounted easily outdoors using its weather protected enclosure. For example it can be mounted on a hoarding, wall or ground easily and quickly.

Wall Mounting

Tools Required

  • Battery operated drill with an 8mm masonry drill bit for the wall plug where required.
  • Screwdriver
  • Zip ties to tidy up the loose cables
  • Slide the piston to it’s widest extension, then set it to the mid-point and mount the sensor over the crack. As the crack contracts or expands, the piston will move within the RED range.
  • The sensor must NOT be mounted flush against the wall as this will interfere with the measurement.
  • Maximum & minimum ranges can be set in Sonitus Cloud.

Sensor Types

We have a two sensors to one logger.

Crack Monitoring

When installing your crack ensure the unit is fixed well in the mortar or brick so that it does not come loose with any additional movement.
