The measurement of environmental emissions such as dust/ particulates and gases at construction sites is often a mandatory requirement especially in urban areas.
These measurements are typically undertaken with perimeter monitors which log this data continually and report data to cloud for reporting and alerting. It is now possible to make these measurements with the same level of accuracy with the Ranger hand-held monitor. Customers value this convenience and capability when:
- Continuous monitoring is not a mandatory requirement.
- Gas measurements such as VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) are needed close to the excavation of contaminated land. NO2 is often measured on construction sites to evaluate the emission of diesel-powered machinery and generators.
- Security of and power to permanent monitors on site is an issue.
With over 20 hours of battery life the Ranger can be mounted on a tripod and deployed for a complete shift.
The Ranger is supplied for sale and hire as standard with the Particulate/ dust sensor head. This measures PM10, PM2.5 PM1 and TSP – Total suspended particulates. It also records PMresp for health and safety monitoring of colleagues on site.
The PM head can be interchanged with up to 32 different sensor heads for most gases and specific concentrations. These sensor cartridges are delivered directly from the factory please so please speak to our experts who will advise on the sensor needed and the delivery time.
The data from the instrument is easily transferred via a USB cable or wifi.
